The San Antonio Spurs continued to improve to NBA best 35-6 over the slopping Denver Nuggets, 110-97, in what could have been Carmelo Anthony’s last game as a Nugget. Tony Parker lead the surging Spurs by capping 30 points while Manu Ginobili contributed 18 points. The New York trade rumors certainly affected the performance of the Anthony, who only had 12 points on a woeful 5-17 field goal shooting.
The Spurs got a big lift from its bench who scored a total of 40 points. George Hill and Gary Neal chipped 14 points apiece, which is one of the major factors of the franchise best start this season.
